SCOPE OF POSITION
The Physical Therapy Resident is currently licensed to practice physical therapy in the State of Ohio. This individual will work within a team oriented sports medicine rehabilitation program. These services are offered via outpatient service sites to patients who have disorders and conditions associated primarily with orthopedic and sports related injuries. The team members report to the rehabilitation manager as part of the OSU Ambulatory Rehab program structure.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Physical Therapy Resident works under the general supervision of the Rehab Manager and under direct supervision of the Manager responsible for coordinating education. The Physical Therapy Resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the laws and rules that govern the practice of physical therapy in the state of Ohio. Although team members report directly to a team leader, they are also responsible to each other, staff physical therapists, to those they supervise (rehab assistants and athletic trainers) and to other participants included in the patient care activities.
Minimum Education Required
Bachelor's Level Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications
All Physical Therapy Residents must hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Athletic Training Board.
Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post offer process.
